Sergei Krikalev - Cosmonaut and world record holder: 803 days in space
Today, February 11th, 2006, I met the russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev!

Cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev (right) and Captain
Captain: "The Apollo astronauts reported faint flashes in their eyes, when they closed
them, due cosmic rays. Did you or your colleagues ever experience such flashes ?"
Krikalev: "Yes, I saw them. From the first day on orbit I saw them."
UPDATE 30-APR-2006:
Sergei also worked on the
LAZIO light flash experiment @ ISS
I was following his career since STS-88,
when the first module of the ISS (International Space Station), Zarya, was mated with the first NASA module, Unity.
He was a member of the Expedition-1
crew in 2000 and with another 179 days on Expedition-11,
he's probably the most experienced ISS astronaut/cosmonaut.
It was a pleasure to meet you, Sergei! Thank you!
Очень приятно! Большое спасибо! Желаю всего наилучшего!
(Nice to meet you! Thank you very much! My best wishes!)
