CORSIKA - Air Shower Simulation

CORSIKA HOME | INSTALLATION | USING CORSIKA | CVIEW

CORSIKA is a simulation software to simulate air showers induced by primary cosmic rays. The program produces large amounts of data of all the secondary particles (electromagnetic particles, muons and hadrons) including Particle identification, Energy (in GeV), Xstart, Ystart, Zstart (all in cm), Tstart (in sec), Xend, Yend, Zend (all in cm), and Tend (in sec)

Before I'll show installation details, configuration and running it, here are some plots produced from the data sets:

Air Shower plotted by CORSIKA Air Shower plotted by CORSIKA Air Shower plotted by CORSIKA
Plot #1 by PLOTSH Plot #2 by PLOTSH2 Plot #3 by PLOTSH2

Red tracks: electromagnetic particles (electrons, positrons, gammas)
Green tracks: Muons
Blue tracks: Hadrons

For details how this plots were generated, see USING CORSIKA.

Those plots were resized - the generated plots are much larger.
